About 2019 Ford Fusion Energi
The 2019 Fusion Energi benefits from the launch of Ford Co-Pilot360 that includes standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert, Lane-Keeping System, rearview camera and auto high-beam headlamps.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link are standard for Fusion Energi Titanium and available for other models. Additional driver-assist features available include new app integration with Ford+Alexa and Waze compatibility through SYNC 3.
New colors for 2019 include: Agate Black, Rich Copper Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Velocity Blue.
The plug-in capability of the Ford Fusion Energi means the lithium-ion battery can be fully charged easily overnight in approximately seven hours using the standard 120-volt convenience charging cord. For faster charging (in about 2.5 hours) a 240-volt charging option is available. Charged through a port on the driver's side; when Fusion Energi is plugged in and charging, a light ring illuminates and makes it easy to determine how much power the battery contains.
The state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery and electric motor combine with the gasoline engine to offers maximum efficiency. This strategy offers the best of both worlds, providing the Fusion Energi the capability to be driven as an electric vehicle for short trips and as a hybrid for longer trips.
